Veneers in Kettering

Do you lack the confidence to smile? Are there things about your smile that you would change if there was a conservative restorative choice that didn't require significant tooth removal?

Veneers offer the opportunity to rejuvenate and change your smile without significant alterations to the tooth underneath.

These changes can include:

  • Teeth that are too small
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Darkened teeth due to stain or medications
  • Crooked or mislaligned teeth
  • Worn or chipped teeth

Veneers are thin ceramic shells placed on the outside of teeth allowing for significant changes teethin their appearance. Because they are often as thin as one to three business cards, little or no teeth are removed while preparing them for the veneers. Once seated on the tooth, the veneer is very strong and durable, offering years of service to the patient.

Veneers are completed in several steps. The first will be a discussion between you and the dentist to determine exactly what you would want changed. The next would be a smile try-in, where you can see the proposed changes on a model and then in your mouth. This would allow you to see your new smile before altering your teeth in any way. Once you approve of the changes the teeth are prepared by slightly buffing the enamel and taking an impression for the lab to then fabricate the veneers. In the final appointment, the veneers will be tried and bonded in place.
